Hon. Eng. Patricie Uwase

Minister of State for infrastructure in the Republic of Rwanda

Patricie Uwase was recently promoted to Minister of State for infrastructure in the Republic of Rwanda. Before her appointment in September 2018, she was the permanent secretary of Rwanda’s Ministry of Infrastructure, where she started in 2015 as a technical adviser to the Minister of Infrastructure.

Uwase leads teams of national agencies, engineers and other experts to implement Rwanda’s National Strategy for Transformation and its Vision 2050 for the infrastructure sector. In addition, she serves on the boards of Rwanda’s national carrier, RwandAir, as well as Ultimate Developers Ltd. and the City of Kigali Advisory Committee.
