Lynda Alvarado Cruz
EARTH University Alumna
Lynda Alvarado Cruz graduated from the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at EARTH University, Costa Rica with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Sciences.
She is an agricultural engineer with experience in training in agricultural industrialization processes and sustainable management of natural resources to young students from technical high schools. She has also participated in technical strengthening processes for coffee farmers in western Honduras on sustainable management of their coffee farms, commercial approach, and crop diversification. As an agricultural professional and active participant in the productive processes, she has been able to recognize the importance of women’s participation in productive areas and the need that still exists to promote inclusive education and professional development to empower women to build prosperous and fair economies in rural communities around the world.
Currently, Lynda is developing, together with a group of colleagues from Honduras, a project for the production of sweet chili and its commercialization in the regional market. She is also starting a family.
